What is the purpose of Troolley?
At Troolley, we believe that travel information is about more than price and star ratings - it is about the whole experience.
You want to know what it is really like there. You want information on the people, the culture, how to get around, how to avoid problems, as well as suggestions for itineraries, accommodations, dining and things to do.
We also believe that the best way to find out about a place is from someone with similar tastes who has already been there.
So we’ve created an exciting new online community that lets people like you share and find detailed advice and experiences on Venice. And we make it easy for you to connect to other travelers who are just as passionate about this wonderful city.
Does it cost anything to join?
No, all services on Troolley are completely free.
How do I add information to my trip plan event?
You can add destinations, reviews, photos, maps and more. As you are browsing the site, click on the "add trip" button.
How do I save my trip plan?
Your trip planner is automatically saved for you. Anything you added to your trip plan will be saved for you the next time you login.
How do I add pins to my travel map?
Every blog entry or review that you create will automatically add a pin to the map in your personal travel blog.
How do I comment on someone’s blog or review?
At the end of every blog entry or review, you will find a box to write your comments in. Once posted, it will appear below the entry.
How can I add multiple Language on a Event or attraction?
- Create a new event or attraction.
- Select your favourite language on the Language Menu and write the Text.
- After go to the attraction or event you have created and just click on New Language on the top.
How can I connect an attraction or event to a trip or itinerary?
Create a trip or itinerary click "Add trip" or "Add itinerary" on the main page.
Open the itinerary or trip you have created and click Add attractions (or add events) on the top of the page.
You can choose multiple attractions or events, and you can order them in numerical order.
You can find on the attraction’s (or event’s) menu different categories for simplifying your selection.
All the attractions and trips can be deleted in every moment from your itinerary or trip just clicking "Delete" near the added attractions (or events) on attraction’s (or event’s) menu.
Can I delete a comment if I find it inappropriate or offensive?
Our community is very important to us. If you find a comment inappropriate or offensive, please email us at venice2@gmail.com, and let us know which comment you believe is inappropriate and the title or url of the blog entry or review the comment is attached to. We will have our editorial team investigate and remove the comment if required.
How can my guests vote for my travel itineraries (or travel trips)?
When your guests view your travel itinerary (or travel trip), they’ll see your travel itinerary’s "rating". The rating is an average made of all the votes your travel itineraries receives. Your guests can all vote ( once ) for your travel itinerary. This helps give well written stories the recognition they deserve.
How can I change the order of my entries?
Entries are ordered by number which you select for a given entry. If you would like to change the placement of an entry ( ie: if you want to move it up the list ), simply change the entry number.
What are entry and photo comments?
Comments are short messages which allow your guests to give you some feedback regarding your entry or photo. Each photo and entry you create can accept comments, which are shown at the bottom of your entry or photo.
How can I find a hotel in Venice?
You can use the "Booking Now!" in the top frame to search directly for hotels in Venice.
Can I review also Hotels and restaurants? Which ones can be reviewed?
You can review any kind of hotel, restaurant, event or attraction in Venice. It is important, however, that you select the right one, or name it correctly at the beginning of your review. You can choose if you would simply rather rate the pre-selected categories or, if preferable, make a more descriptive statement about your attraction or event in question.

How do I upload photos?
- Login and create an attraction or an event.
- Create an entry.
- Select the attraction or event you have created and link the Photo’s Path.
IMPORTANT: Be shure to add the photo tag (<a href="http…. ) to your entry (Just click Insert Photo on Flickr).
